FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

We don’t bill insurance directly and can’t provide codes or paperwork for claims. If you have an HSA or FSA, your plan may cover acupuncture—usually an invoice from us is all you need. We recommend checking with your provider to confirm.

What is the cancelation policy?

We kindly request that all cancellations be made with more than 48 hours' notice.

  • Cancellations made between 48 and 24 hours prior to your appointment will incur a late cancellation fee equal to two-thirds of the appointment cost.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full cost of the scheduled treatment.

  • No-shows will also be invoiced at the full treatment rate.

Should I eat before a treatment?

If you tend to experience hypoglycemia or low blood sugar, it’s important to eat before your treatment. Acupuncture can sometimes lower blood sugar levels, so having a light meal or snack beforehand ensures you’ll feel comfortable and balanced during your session.

How often should I come in for a treatment?

For most specific concerns, we recommend starting with weekly treatments for approximately 4-6 weeks. By coming in regularly, we can build on the progress of each session, gradually retraining your body to adopt a new, healthier energetic pattern. Once your condition stabilizes and improvements are sustained, we’ll reduce the frequency to every two weeks, and eventually transition to a maintenance schedule of once a month or once per season, depending on your needs.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is best so we can easily reach areas like your arms, legs, and abdomen. Pants, shorts, or tops with sleeves that roll up work well. If your outfit doesn’t allow easy access, we’ll provide a drape so you can stay comfortable and relaxed. Above all, wear what helps you feel at ease.

Are acupuncture needles painful?

Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—about the width of a single hair—and very different from the needles used for injections. Most points are painless, though you may feel a quick, mild sting that fades almost immediately. Sensitivity can vary from day to day based on factors like stress or your cycle. Overall, treatments should feel comfortable, and if any point causes discomfort, it can be adjusted or removed right away.
